Indra Enhances Meteor Missile Range for Spanish Eurofighters and F-35s
In 2022, Spain's Air Force began missions with the Meteor missile on its Eurofighter aircraft. In 2024, live firing exercises were conducted in the UK. A software modification cycle has improved the Meteor's capabilities, and Indra is enhancing the critical datalink for better range and resistance. The Meteor missile, considered the most advanced air-to-air missile, is also being tested with F-35s. Indra has been involved in the missile's development for 25 years, contributing to its modernization.

Spain's Air Force started utilizing the Meteor missile on Eurofighter aircraft in 2022. By 2024, live firing exercises occurred at RAF Lossiemouth and the Hebrides range. A software modification cycle allowed the first launch of three telemetry Meteor missiles and an AIM-120B.
Indra is enhancing the missile's datalink, which improves range and resistance against countermeasures. The Meteor is recognized as the most advanced air-to-air missile, operable by various fighters, including the F-35. Indra has contributed to the missile's development for 25 years and is currently involved in mid-life upgrade activities.
