Inpex Secures Offtake Agreements for Abadi LNG Project in Indonesia
Inpex Corp. has signed preliminary agreements for liquefied natural gas supply from its Abadi LNG Project in Indonesia. This project aims for an LNG output of approximately 9.5 million tonnes per annum, addressing energy demand in the Asia-Pacific region.

Inpex Corp. has signed preliminary accords with BP Plc, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia, and Shell Eastern Trading for the offtake of LNG from the Abadi LNG Project. Partnering with Pertamina Hulu Energi and Petronas Masela, Inpex is positioned as the operator of this project in Indonesia's Masela Block.
The agreements are crucial for the final investment decision and align with the Indonesian Government's objectives to optimize resource use. Environmental approval was obtained in February 2026, enabling further development, including a natural gas liquefaction plant targeting 9.5mtpa of LNG output.
