Insitu Secures US Navy ISR Contract for ScanEagle and Integrator Drones
Insitu, a Boeing subsidiary, has been awarded an ISR contract by the US Navy to utilize its ScanEagle and Integrator drones. This contract allows Insitu to operate under a Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated model, enhancing its competitive edge in maritime surveillance.
Insitu will provide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) services to the US Navy and Marine Corps using ScanEagle and Integrator drones under a Contractor-Owned, Contractor-Operated model. The contract highlights Insitu's long-standing relationship with the Navy since 2005 and the Marines since 2004.
The Integrator offers 27.5 hours of flight time and a payload capacity of 50 lbs, while ScanEagle operates over 18 hours with a 17 lbs payload. Both drones feature VTOL capabilities and advanced sensor configurations, including AI-assisted options. Insitu's drones have logged over 1.6 million operational hours across various platforms globally, positioning the company to meet the Navy's needs for flexible and resilient maritime operations.
