Integrated Civic Improvement Drive Launched in Chak Jhumra by Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner
Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir has initiated an integrated civic improvement drive in Tehsil Chak Jhumra, mobilizing district resources for enhanced resident facilities. The operation includes specific tasks assigned to various district departments.
Notably, 100 skilled workers from the Parks and Horticulture Authority planted approximately 2,000 saplings along the Jhumra-Chiniot Road. The Water and Sanitation Agency deployed 50 workers and machinery to clear blocked sewer lines.
Additionally, 50 Civil Defense volunteers executed anti-encroachment operations in local bazaars. The drive involved 25 beldars from the District Council and workers from Suthra Punjab and the Local Government Department to improve cleanliness around the railway station.
Beautification efforts commenced in Mochi Bazaar, and recreational facilities for children are being developed in Jinnah Park. The DC indicated ongoing assessments for a new road to enhance connectivity, with similar operations planned every 15 days.
