Intermarine Begins Development of Modular Unmanned Surface Vehicle for Italian Navy
Intermarine has initiated the development of a modular unmanned surface vehicle for the Italian Navy to enhance underwater operations and infrastructure protection, particularly for mine clearance and seabed monitoring. This project is part of a modernization program to replace current mine countermeasure units, utilizing advanced composite construction for autonomy and resilience.

Intermarine has commenced the development of a modular unmanned surface vehicle (USV) for the Italian Navy, aimed at supporting underwater operations and infrastructure protection. The USV will assist new minehunters in clearing mined areas and monitoring seabed assets such as oil pipelines.
This initiative is part of a broader modernization program launched to replace existing mine countermeasure units. The vehicles will operate autonomously or via remote control and can be transported by ships designed for manned rigid-hulled inflatable boats.
