Investigation into Gul Plaza Fire Uncovers DVRs and Human Remains
Investigators have recovered three digital video recorders (DVRs) from the debris of the Gul Plaza fire, which occurred on January 17. The DVRs, found by the Urban Search and Rescue team near a mosque, will be analyzed to help determine the cause and sequence of events leading to the incident.
Additionally, human bones were discovered during debris removal, reportedly falling from rubble cleared by a dumper. These remains have been sent for forensic analysis as police investigate their identity and potential connection to the fire.
Rescue operations continue with support from the Army and Rangers, while engineers assess the building's safety. Help desks and DNA collection centres have been set up for victim identification amid ongoing recovery efforts.
