Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is soliciting Expressions of Interest for a solar power project at its Panipat Refinery, covering 7.5 acres. This initiative will be executed under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model, shifting project responsibility to the selected bidder, who will oversee design, financing, installation, and maintenance for a decade.
Eligibility criteria include solid financial health, prior solar project experience, and MNRE registration. The EOI was published on April 20, 2026, with a site visit scheduled shortly thereafter. Non-compliance with energy generation targets could incur penalties. The initiative supports IOCL's clean energy goals, potentially influencing future energy procurement strategies.
