IperionX Receives $0.3 Million Prototype Order for U.S. Army Heavy Combat Systems

IperionX Limited has received a prototype order worth $0.3 million from American Rheinmetall for the production of 700 lightweight titanium components for heavy combat systems of the U.S. Army. The components will be manufactured in the U.S. using 100% recycled titanium through IperionX's patented Hydrogen Assisted Metallothermic Reduction (HAMR) and Hydrogen Sintering and Phase Transformation (HSPT) technologies.

This order could lead to a larger contract upon successful delivery. The titanium components are expected to replace steel components, resulting in weight reductions of approximately 40-45% per component, which could mean reductions of several hundred kilograms per vehicle.

This weight reduction is crucial for enhancing the performance, maneuverability, and survivability of heavy ground vehicles. Additionally, this order aligns with U.S. government priorities to secure critical material supply chains domestically.
