Iran Asserts Missile Capabilities Are Non-Negotiable, Says Defense Minister
Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh stated that the country’s missile capabilities are not up for negotiation. During a visit to honor former IRGC chief Hossein Salami, he highlighted Salami's crucial role in founding the IRGC Aerospace Force and advancing missile programs and defense technologies.
Nasirzadeh noted Salami's academic contributions and expertise in addressing emerging threats, which enhanced the Aerospace Force's capabilities. He emphasized that Salami's leadership was essential in establishing a credible deterrent for Iran's armed forces, which proved effective during a 12-day conflict. The Defense Minister firmly reiterated that discussions regarding Iran's missile capabilities are not considered appropriate in negotiations.
