Iran War Boosts Demand for Drone Defense Technologies and Solutions
The Iran war has increased demand for drone defense technologies, with companies like Nordic Air Defense experiencing a surge in inquiries. Jens Holzapfel reported daily requests from the Middle East, up from monthly earlier, primarily from Gulf governments.
Taiwan's Tron Future noted international interest in its counter-drone units has nearly doubled. The conflict has driven a shift towards seeking not just interception but also destruction capabilities against Iranian drones. Ukrainian manufacturers, such as Wild Hornets and Skyfall, are also receiving numerous inquiries, with Skyfall able to potentially export 10,000 interceptors monthly, pending legal constraints on drone exports from Ukraine.
