Iraq Acquires 18 Fire Trucks from SANY to Modernize Civil Defense
The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has received 18 new firefighting trucks from SANY to enhance civil defense and emergency response capabilities. Delivered in February, these PM40 trucks aim to improve firefighting and rescue operations in central and southern Iraq. Built on MAN truck chassis, they are designed for challenging rescue missions and large-scale fire crises. This acquisition marks SANY's first major overseas contract in firefighting vehicles, part of Iraq's broader initiative to modernize civil defense equipment.

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has acquired 18 PM40 firefighting trucks from Chinese manufacturer SANY to improve civil defense and emergency response. Delivered in February, the trucks were developed over nearly two years of research and coordination.
Designed on MAN truck chassis, they are intended for tough rescue operations and large-scale fire crises, enhancing coverage in urban and industrial areas. This delivery is SANY's first significant overseas contract in the firefighting sector, aligning with Iraq's initiative to modernize civil defense equipment amid increasing urbanization and disaster risks.
