IRT Saint Exupéry Leads COMPINNOV HT+ Project for Advanced High-Temperature Composites in Aerospace and Defense
The COMPINNOV HT+ project, led by IRT Saint Exupéry and supported by the Defense Innovation Agency, focuses on developing composite materials for aerospace and defense that can withstand extreme temperatures. Initiated to strengthen France's industrial sovereignty, the project has achieved significant milestones within a year.
It unites a consortium of companies, including Specific Polymers and Safran, to create resins resilient to temperatures from 200 to 400°C, aiming to replace titanium alloys in aerospace applications. This initiative seeks to establish an independent European supply chain, ensuring France's autonomy in critical materials and reducing reliance on foreign sources.
