Israel Allocates Funding to Combat Anti-Arab Violence in Judea and Samaria
Israel is allocating tens of millions of shekels to combat anti-Arab violence in Judea and Samaria, including funding for a new unit within the Defense Ministry to support at-risk youth. The Defense Ministry will receive two million shekels annually through 2028, alongside six million shekels for military preparation programs.
The Education Ministry will manage a youth program with a budget of approximately 36 million shekels. The National Security Ministry will allocate five million shekels per year for youth policing, while the Labor Ministry will invest 50 million shekels in vocational training until 2028.
In 2025, 870 anti-Arab hate crimes were reported, a 27% increase from the previous year. The Israeli military has formed a task force to address Jewish nationalist violence, amid increasing tensions and violence in the region.
