Israeli and Greek Navies Enhance Cooperation Following Naval Leadership Visit

During a recent visit to Israel, Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras, Chief of the Hellenic Navy, and Israeli Navy Commander Vice Admiral Eyal Harel committed to enhancing bilateral cooperation. The visit included inspections at the Israeli Navy base in Haifa, showcasing missile vessels and submarines, and an aerial tour of northern Israel to discuss regional security challenges.
Briefings on strategic developments and lessons from recent conflicts were also part of the agenda. The reinforced partnership reflects a growing recognition of mutual threats in the Eastern Mediterranean, which may lead to increased naval operations and intelligence sharing.
