Israeli Defense Ministry Reports NIS 1.08 Billion in Startup Orders for 2025
In 2025, Israeli defense startups secured orders totaling NIS 1.08 billion, with 25% from foreign customers. The Ministry of Defense's DDR&D (MAFAT) reported 221 active partnerships, primarily with early-stage companies.
Orders included 35% for R&D and 41% for equipment. The total funding for companies receiving orders reached $1.2 billion. MAFAT's new 'green track' facilitated the registration of 77 suppliers.
Major sectors for orders were autonomous platforms (32.5%), AI and digital (19.9%), and cyber (17.7%). MAFAT published 19 calls for proposals, leading to 661 submissions. Contracts with foreign customers rose to NIS 297 million. The Defense Ministry plans to enhance G2G sales and support defense tech exports.
