Israel's Electric Company Unveils Advanced Maintenance Robot for Power Lines
Israel's electric company, in partnership with Axioma Robotics, has developed a semi-autonomous robot for high-voltage maintenance. This innovation aims to enhance safety and efficiency in electricity network management while minimizing service interruptions.

A new maintenance robot developed by Israel's electric company and Axioma Robotics is set to revolutionize high-voltage line operations. The project involved significant investment and extensive planning, addressing the need for maintenance without disrupting electricity flow or risking worker safety.
The robot features two robotic arms and is operated from the ground by a single operator, maintaining control through semi-autonomous functionality. Equipped with high-resolution cameras and LiDAR sensors, it can navigate power lines accurately.
Additionally, it performs real-time diagnostics, identifying issues like corrosion and heat sources. Ongoing improvements aim to broaden its capabilities and reduce human interaction in dangerous environments.
