Italian Startup ORiS Joins ARAQYS-D3 Mission for Wireless Energy Transfer Demonstration
ORiS participates in ARAQYS-D3 to validate Power-as-a-Service in orbit, enhancing energy distribution infrastructure. This mission addresses the increasing energy demands of satellites, facilitating advanced applications like space data centers.

Italian startup ORiS will be part of the ARAQYS-D3 mission, set to launch in February 2027 with SpaceX, to demonstrate wireless energy transfer technologies in orbit. This mission, conducted by Dcubed, aims to validate the Power-as-a-Service model in response to rising satellite energy needs.
ORiS will showcase end-to-end energy transmission, stable orbital energy transfer, and compatibility with photovoltaic systems designed for space. The outcome may enable a shift from isolated satellite operations to a connected ecosystem for flexible energy distribution, impacting future satellite mission designs and operational efficiencies.
