IWTMA and SECI Strategize to Enhance Wind Energy Deployment in India
IWTMA and SECI are collaborating to strengthen wind energy in India through enhanced grid infrastructure and resource planning. This initiative is essential for aligning with India's clean energy targets and addressing operational challenges.

The Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) and the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) have convened to discuss strategies for advancing wind energy deployment in India. Key focal points included optimizing high wind potential zones, enhancing grid readiness, and expanding bidding opportunities, particularly with Tranche XX on the horizon.
The organizations aim to address execution bottlenecks, such as delays in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), to enable effective project implementation. Strengthening substation access and resource adequacy planning were also highlighted as critical factors for aligning capacity additions with demand patterns. Continued collaboration between industry and policymakers is crucial to unlocking wind energy's potential.
