Jinko Solar Achieves Record Cell Efficiency; Risen Energy Focuses on Space-Based Photovoltaics
Jinko Solar announced a record cell conversion efficiency of 27.79% using TOPCon technology, marking its 32nd efficiency record. The company is implementing cost-reduction measures, such as hedging against rising silver prices and advancing base metal solutions for future commercialization.
Jinko anticipates high-power modules will make up 60% of shipments in 2026. Risen Energy is concentrating on space-based photovoltaics, highlighting its P-type ultra-thin heterojunction (HJT) solar cells, which are lightweight and radiation-resistant.
The company has made small-batch deliveries to overseas customers and plans to expand production capacity based on demand. Risen's tandem cell technology has reached a 30.99% efficiency but currently contributes minimally to overall revenue.
