Johor to Manufacture AI-Powered Cleaning Robots Through China Partnership
Johor will serve as a production hub for AI cleaning robots via a partnership with a Chinese firm. This initiative is poised to generate significant local employment and support the region's high-tech manufacturing goals.

Indah Holding Venture (M) Sdn Bhd plans to manufacture artificial intelligence-powered cleaning robots at its Senai factory, targeting both export and domestic markets. The project, spurred by a partnership with a Chinese robotics company, involves an investment of RM850,000 for factory renovations and production facilities.
The first robot, valued at RM35,000, is slated for arrival on July 26 or 27 for testing, with projected annual sales between RM18 million and RM20 million from 2026 to 2028. The company aims to create hundreds of jobs, focusing on local technicians and engineers, and plans to source components from local suppliers.
Johor's strategic location within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone is expected to enhance the project's logistics. This initiative aligns with Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and aims to position Johor as a high-tech manufacturing hub, with potential expansion into markets such as the UAE, US, and Europe.
