Joint Operation Secures Jungle Salimpur Area in Sitakunda, Chattogram
Law enforcement agencies have declared full control over the Jungle Salimpur area in Sitakunda, Chattogram, following a joint operation involving 3,200 personnel from various security forces. Two security camps for police and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) will be established to maintain order. Although some weapons were confiscated and about 15 individuals detained, key figure Md Yasin escaped. Authorities plan to implement previously proposed development initiatives in the area.

Law enforcement agencies have successfully established control over the Jungle Salimpur area of Sitakunda, Chattogram, after a joint operation involving 3,200 personnel from the police, Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and Armed Police Battalion (APBn). Two security camps for police and Rab will be set up.
The operation commenced at dawn with heavy equipment, during which several weapons were recovered and approximately 15 people detained. However, Md Yasin, leader of the 'Yasin Bahini,' escaped capture. Authorities plan to request the divisional administration to expedite previously planned development projects in the area.
