The Jordanian government has drafted a new education law to restructure the education sector, establishing the Ministry of Education, Teaching and Human Resources Development. The law aims to unify authorities, improve education quality, and enhance graduates' skills.

It also includes provisions for a national council for human resources development and aims to strengthen university autonomy. Additionally, the Cabinet approved a new regulation for traditional crafts to support tourism and a regulation for energy sector licenses. An agreement to supply natural gas to Syria will utilize Jordan's infrastructure to meet part of Syria's energy needs, exempting the agreement from taxes.
