Joule Secures $60M for BetterGrid™ AI Data Center Platform in Utah
Joule has launched the BetterGrid™ platform, designed for high-density AI workloads, securing $60M in Series B financing. The platform aims to deliver operational capacity months faster than traditional data center operators, eliminating lengthy grid interconnection delays. Joule's data center campus in Millard County, Utah, has 1.7 GW of power generation equipment on order, with the first delivery expected in March. The company owns 4,000 acres of entitled land and possesses necessary water rights and natural gas interconnections.

Joule has introduced the BetterGrid™ platform aimed at high-density AI workloads, having raised $60 million in Series B funding led by Clear Lake Investments and Foulger Pratt. The platform is designed to deliver operational capacity significantly faster than traditional data center operators by addressing grid interconnection delays.
The company has secured 1.7 GW of Caterpillar power-generation equipment, with initial deliveries set for March. Joule's infrastructure includes 4,000 acres of entitled land, senior water rights, and direct natural gas interconnections, enabling rapid deployment of data center capabilities.
