Julius Rone, CEO of UTM Offshore, has been awarded New Telegraph Personality of the Year 2025 and Investor of the Year by Daily Sun Newspaper for his role in Nigeria's gas sector transformation. His company is leading the Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project, expected to produce 1.5 million tonnes of LNG annually and 300,000 tonnes of LPG for domestic use.

Supported by President Bola Tinubu's administration, the project involves strategic partnerships with NNPCL and Delta State Government. The facility, located in Oil Mining Lease 104, will utilize 2.2 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves over 20 years.

UTM Offshore secured $2 billion from Afreximbank for Phase One, with an additional $3 billion for Phase Two, reflecting strong investor confidence. Rone's leadership emphasizes global standards and sustainable development.
