Kakinada Seaports Limited (KSPL) is proposing a ₹200 crore expansion of its Offshore Supply Vessel Complex to increase cargo handling capacity by four million tonnes per annum. The project will support Indian Navy and Coast Guard vessels and enhance logistics for oil and natural gas exploration in the Krishna-Godavari basin. The expansion includes extending an existing jetty and constructing a new jetty. An environmental clearance is pending, and the project aims for completion within two years of receiving approvals.

Kakinada Seaports Limited (KSPL) plans a ₹200 crore expansion of the Offshore Supply Vessel Complex (OSVC) at Kakinada deep-sea port, aimed at increasing cargo handling capacity by four million tonnes per annum. Currently, the port handles over 17 MTPA, primarily exporting bauxite, fertilizers, alumina, iron ore, and coal.
The expansion involves extending an existing finger jetty by 360 metres and constructing a new 275-metre jetty on the port's eastern side. The OSVC will accommodate Indian Navy and Coast Guard vessels and enhance offshore logistics for oil and gas exploration.
An environmental public hearing was held on February 6, and the project requires clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Completion is expected within two years post-clearance.
