Kalashnikov Develops Arctic Equipment for Military Use
The Kalashnikov Group has engineered over 40 Arctic-specific items for military units, developed in collaboration with the Russian Defense Ministry. This innovation addresses operational needs in extreme cold conditions, enhancing the preparedness of special units in Arctic regions.

Kalashnikov has created a suite of over 40 pieces of Arctic equipment designed for military personnel operating in extreme cold. Key components include the 'Nanuk suit' and specialized sleeping bags, alongside transport containers for medical supplies and food rations.
The equipment underwent testing in March 2018 in conditions reaching -47°C, with significant wind and humidity challenges on the Yamal and Taimyr Peninsulas. Prototypes were showcased at the Army-2018 forum. This development is critical for enhancing military readiness in Arctic scenarios, reflecting a growing focus on operations in extreme environments.
