KargoBot Raises Over $100 Million to Expand Autonomous Truck Fleet in China
KargoBot, a Chinese autonomous driving freight startup backed by Didi Chuxing, has raised over $100 million in a Series B funding round. The investment, co-led by Horizon Robotics and Gaorong Ventures, will be used to expand its fleet of self-driving trucks and develop a smart transportation system. KargoBot plans to deploy 1,000 Robotrucks this year and aims for a total of 10,000 units in the coming years, addressing the significant demand in China's long-haul freight market.

KargoBot has secured over $100 million in its latest funding round to accelerate the expansion of its autonomous truck fleet. The Series B round was co-led by Horizon Robotics and Gaorong Ventures, with participation from other investors.
The funds will be used to expand operations on trunk routes and develop a smart transportation system. KargoBot plans to deploy 1,000 Robotrucks in 2026 and aims to grow its fleet to 10,000 units. The company is addressing the truck driver shortage and has already received commercial pilot qualifications for autonomous truck convoys, operating over 400 trucks in more than 10 provinces.
