Karman Space Opens Utah Facility to Boost Missile and Drone Systems Production
Karman Space & Defense is opening a manufacturing facility in Utah to enhance production of missile and drone system components. The site will quadruple the output for UAS launcher systems and double the production of solid rocket motor nozzles, with readiness expected in Q4 2026. The facility will utilize a digitally enabled manufacturing platform and has received over $15 million in investments, including funding from the US Defense Production Act.

Karman Space & Defense is establishing a new manufacturing facility in Utah to increase production of launch systems and rocket components for US missile and counter-drone programs. The facility will quadruple the output for unmanned aerial system launcher systems and double the production of solid rocket motor composite nozzles, with operational readiness projected for Q4 2026.
The site will convert an existing building and integrate multiple manufacturing functions utilizing the Karman Operating System, which incorporates automation and AI. Karman has invested over $15 million in recent capacity expansions, including $5 million from the US Defense Production Act.
