Kaspersky: 96% of Vietnamese Firms Outsource Cybersecurity Operations
A Kaspersky study reveals that nearly 96% of Vietnamese companies outsource cybersecurity operations, with 59% favoring a hybrid model and 37% opting for SOCaaS. This contrasts with global trends where 64% of firms plan partial outsourcing and 26% intend to fully adopt SOCaaS. The report highlights the challenges in maintaining in-house cybersecurity capabilities and the preference for outsourcing specific functions.

According to Kaspersky, nearly 96% of Vietnamese firms outsource cybersecurity operations. The study indicates that 59% prefer a hybrid model combining in-house and external providers, while 37% opt for a fully outsourced Security Operations Center as a Service (SOCaaS).
Globally, 64% of companies survey plan partial outsourcing, with only 9% intending to build a fully in-house SOC. Vietnamese firms show a higher willingness than the global average for outsourcing tasks such as deployment (82%), development (75%), and SOC design (79%). This trend aims to ensure continuous cyber defense and access to specialized expertise.
