Kazakhstan to Launch 'Astana' Bus Production in November 2026
Kazakhstan's Astana Motors will initiate production of urban buses under the 'Astana' brand in November 2026, enhancing local manufacturing capacity. This project aims to advance public transport solutions and support domestic vehicle production.

Astana Motors is set to commence the manufacturing of urban passenger buses branded as 'Astana' in November 2026. The buses will be produced in Kazakhstan, utilizing technology and components from international partners, including Chinese firms.
Initial production will focus on diesel and compressed natural gas (CNG) models, while fully electric buses are slated for development, with production expected to start in March 2027. This initiative aligns with Kazakhstan's strategy to bolster domestic vehicle output and innovate urban transport solutions. The project may present risks associated with reliance on international technology and fluctuating demand in the public transportation sector.
