Sidus Space has appointed Kelle Wendling, an aerospace and defense executive with over 30 years of experience, to its board of directors. Her appointment coincides with the company's advancements in initiatives for government and commercial space customers.
Sidus Space has received FCC approval to operate a micro constellation of LizzieSat remote sensing satellites and secured a NOAA Tier 1 remote sensing license for panchromatic and shortwave infrared imaging. Additionally, the company has a contract extension with NASA to demonstrate autonomous system management for LizzieSat-1's four-year mission and collaborates with L3Harris through the Department of War's Mentor-Protege Program to enhance its role as a defense supplier and expand its satellite and space-based data offerings.
