KELO Robotics has unveiled KELO-Drives, designed for the next generation of autonomous mobile service and transport robots. These compact drive units are omnidirectional and compliant, allowing robots to maneuver efficiently in tight spaces without prior turning maneuvers.

They overcome limitations of previous solutions like Mecanum wheels, which can be sensitive to dirt and shock. Each KELO-Drive features a plug-and-play design that includes hub motors, sensors, and control electronics, supporting loads of 125 to 500 kg. Their compliance allows robots to safely yield to external forces, making them suitable for environments where humans work closely with robots.
