Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Unanimously Approves Renewable Energy Resolution
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has approved a resolution to promote renewable energy, aiming to address energy self-sufficiency amid global crises. The proposed hybrid renewable energy program targets an additional 1,000 megawatts of electricity generation.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has passed a resolution to enhance renewable energy resources, highlighting the urgency for energy self-sufficiency in light of global energy challenges. The plan aims to generate 1,000 megawatts through various sources: 600 megawatts from hydropower projects in Chitral, Dir, and Kohistan; 350 megawatts from solar energy in southern districts; and 50 megawatts from wind energy in upper Chitral.
The assembly has urged the provincial government to prioritize this initiative and ensure rapid implementation for public benefit, indicating the province's capability to generate even more energy in the future.
