Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Launches Digital Skills Center Amidst Education Reforms
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Chief Minister Sohail Afridi inaugurated a Centre of Excellence for Digital and High Tech Skills, supported by the EU, aiming to enhance employability among youth. The provincial government is implementing extensive educational reforms, including curriculum updates and the recruitment of 16,000 teachers and 2,400 doctors on merit, to address the impact of the US-led war on terror on local literacy rates.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a Centre of Excellence for Digital and High Tech Skills to improve youth employability, backed by the European Union. The province's annual trade with Afghanistan, historically over Rs10 billion, has faced disruptions due to border tensions. Afridi's administration is focusing on recruiting 16,000 teachers and 2,400 doctors based on merit, while also enhancing scholarship opportunities for underprivileged youth. The collaboration with the EU underscores a commitment to technology and skills development, addressing the historical impacts of conflict on local youth.
