Kinetix AI Launches KAI Humanoid with Advanced Capabilities for Service Applications
Kinetix AI introduces KAI, a humanoid robot featuring 115 degrees of freedom and 18,000 tactile sensors, aiming for mass production by late 2026 at a target price under $40,000. The robot's advanced specifications highlight the industry's push towards more capable and safe robots for home and service environments.

Kinetix AI unveiled its humanoid robot KAI on April 26, targeting mass production by late 2026 with a price under $40,000. KAI features 115 degrees of freedom, significantly exceeding typical humanoid robots, and includes hands with 36 degrees of freedom and a synthetic skin with 18,000 tactile sensors for haptic feedback.
The robot is powered by a 1.7 kWh semi-solid-state battery, enhancing safety compared to standard lithium-ion batteries. The KAI World Model architecture allows for predictive movement assessments, aiming for reliable real-world deployment. This innovation positions Kinetix AI within the growing trend of advanced robotics, with implications for both safety and functionality in domestic settings.
