King Mohammed VI chaired a working meeting at the Royal Palace in Casablanca regarding the Nador West Med port and industrial complex, set to launch in Q4 2025. The project aims to enhance Morocco's economy, create jobs, and promote balanced territorial development as part of a national port system.

Public and private investments have reached MAD 51 billion, with infrastructure including 5.4 km of breakwaters and two container terminals. The port will initially handle 5 million containers and 35 million tons of cargo annually, with future potential of 12 million containers.

Additionally, it will feature an energy hub with the country's first liquefied natural gas terminal and support new activity zones of 700 hectares. The King emphasized the need for effective training programs and regional benefits from the project.
