Kongsberg Maritime to Deliver Advanced Training Simulators to French Naval Academy
Kongsberg Maritime will provide a suite of bridge simulators and VR technology to École Navale in France by Q4 2026. This investment aims to enhance training for future seafarers by integrating advanced navigation technologies.

Kongsberg Maritime is set to supply École Navale in Lanvéoc, France, with advanced training simulators, including four full-mission K-Sim Navigation ship bridge simulators, in October 2026. These simulators will feature a 270-degree visual environment and integrated radar systems, allowing for realistic training scenarios.
The contract encompasses virtual reality and mixed reality 3D visualisation technologies, along with hybrid bridges for multi-purpose training and desktop simulators for ECDIS training. Customized warship models and sailing areas will be developed to meet the French Navy's operational needs. This upgrade aims to enhance training effectiveness and replace the previous system.
