Korea Aims for Second Investment Wave in India Focused on Strategic Industries
Korean Ambassador Lee Seong-ho stated Korea is eager to initiate a second wave of investment in India, focusing on sectors like shipbuilding, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing. This was discussed at a seminar in New Delhi, where he emphasized the importance of a strategic partnership to enhance supply chain resilience.
The collaboration will also extend to nuclear energy, space, AI, and defense, highlighted by a recent MOU for joint operations in defense. High-level exchanges have increased since last year, with significant meetings between Korean and Indian leaders. The ambassador called for sustained, structured engagement to bolster academic cooperation and regional partnerships.
