Koryx Copper released an updated mineral resource estimate for its Haib copper project in Namibia on March 25, now including gold as a byproduct. The project hosts 2.09 million tons of copper in indicated resources, 1.38 million tons in inferred resources, 487,900 ounces of gold, and 103.6 million pounds of molybdenum.
This addition is expected to improve profitability and extend the project's lifespan, which initially planned for copper-only production of 88,000 tons annually over 23 years. A prefeasibility study incorporating gold and molybdenum is due by Q4 2026. Koryx has raised C$46 million for project funding.
