Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and Airbus are advancing towards the maiden flight of two Valkyries integrated with the MARS mission system for the German Air Force. The Valkyries, which have a range of over 5,000 kilometers, aim to provide credible combat capabilities with a focus on affordability. The first flight is set for 2026 in Germany, marking a significant step in developing an integrated Uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft (UCCA) system.

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and Airbus are preparing two Valkyries for their first flight in Germany, integrating them with the Multiplatform Autonomous Reconfigurable and Secure (MARS) mission system for the German Air Force. The aircraft, with a length of 9.1 m and a wingspan of 8.2 m, can operate autonomously or be commanded by a Eurofighter.
The Valkyries can perform various roles, delivering combat capabilities as needed. The maiden flight of the Airbus variant is scheduled for 2026, following the Valkyrie's initial flight in the USA in 2019.
