India's new SHANTI Bill invites private sector participation in Small Modular Reactor (SMR) development, enhancing nuclear energy's role in the country's energy strategy. KSB Ltd, with a market cap of Rs 12,250 crore, specializes in manufacturing Primary Coolant Pumps for nuclear reactors, reporting sales growth from Rs 1,208 crore in FY20 to Rs 2,533 crore in FY25.
Its order book reached Rs 2,639 crore, with a focus on nuclear sector orders. VA Tech Wabag, valued at Rs 6,629 crore, excels in water treatment technologies, securing a Rs 600 crore contract for BPCL's Green Hydrogen plant.
The company's sales rose from Rs 2,557 crore in FY20 to Rs 3,294 crore in FY25. Both firms are set to benefit from India's shift towards nuclear energy amidst challenges in execution and regulatory compliance.
