Kuehne+Nagel Expands Air Cargo Operations at Frankfurt Airport with New Facility
Kuehne+Nagel is set to expand its air cargo operations at Frankfurt Airport with a new 7,600 sq m facility, enhancing its total footprint to over 20,000 sq m. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2028, the facility will support sectors such as healthcare and high-tech, featuring 16 gates and sustainable design elements. This expansion aligns with Fraport's CargoHub masterplan aimed at optimizing and innovating the air cargo market.

Kuehne+Nagel (K+N) is expanding its air cargo presence at Frankfurt Airport with a new 7,600 sq m facility aimed at the healthcare, semiconductor, high-tech, and cloud infrastructure sectors. The company has signed a lease with airport operator Fraport, increasing its total footprint at CargoCity South to over 20,000 sq m.
Scheduled for completion by the end of 2028, the facility will feature 16 gates and truck docks, enhancing logistics efficiency and connectivity for air cargo. It has received a DGNB gold certification for environmental standards, incorporating sustainable features such as LED lighting and a photovoltaic system. This expansion aligns with Fraport's CargoHub masterplan, which focuses on space optimisation, development, and digital innovation to strengthen the air cargo market at Frankfurt Airport.
