Kumoh National Institute of Technology Opens K-MOSA Research Center for Manned-Unmanned Defense Systems
Kumoh National Institute of Technology has inaugurated the K-MOSA Research Center to advance research and education in open architectures for defense systems. The center aims to foster a technology ecosystem linked to the local defense industry and will focus on foundational and applied research, K-MOSA scenario development, and standardization methodologies. Key partnerships have been established with various defense organizations to enhance collaboration and human resource development in this sector.

Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT) has launched the K-MOSA Research Center on January 23 to conduct research, education, and demonstration of open architectures based on Manned-Unmanned Multi-System (MUM-T) for Defense. The center is jointly operated by KIT's RISE Project Group and several research institutes.
It will focus on basic and applied research related to MOSA, develop K-MOSA application scenarios, and research standard-based module integration methodologies. Collaborations with defense companies and military agencies are planned to enhance joint research and technology verification. The center aims to establish standards for Korean open defense technologies.
