Kuwait and UK Enhance Aviation Cooperation through Strategic Meetings
Kuwait and the UK are enhancing their aviation cooperation through strategic meetings, focusing on expertise exchange and support for air transport systems. Key discussions included air traffic control training and partnerships at Kuwait International Airport, alongside agreements between Kuwait Airways and Rolls-Royce to improve aircraft engine systems. Additionally, Kuwait Airways has increased its flights to London to 16 weekly departures, reflecting the strengthening bilateral relationship.

Officials from Kuwait and the UK are working to strengthen aviation ties, with discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the sector. Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah, chairman of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), met with UK Ambassador Qudsi Rashid to explore opportunities for expertise exchange and support for air transport systems.
The talks included air traffic control training and public-private partnerships at Kuwait International Airport. Earlier discussions with UK Trade Commissioner Lord Iain McNicol emphasized the importance of bilateral relationships.
Additionally, Kuwait Airways and Rolls-Royce agreed to improve aircraft engine systems, while Kuwait Airways increased its flights to London to 16 weekly departures. UK Secretary of State David Lammy also met with Kuwaiti leaders to discuss broader cooperation in trade and defense.
