Kuwait Implements New Regulations to Combat Terrorism and WMD Proliferation
Kuwait has enacted Ministerial Resolution No. 176/2025, establishing a committee to implement UN Security Council resolutions aimed at combating terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. This committee will coordinate efforts among relevant authorities, make decisions by majority vote, and publish lists of individuals and entities linked to terrorism financing and WMD programs, including those associated with al-Qaeda, North Korea, and Iran's nuclear violations.

Kuwait's Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya has issued Ministerial Resolution No. 176/2025, establishing executive regulations for a committee tasked with implementing UN Security Council resolutions related to terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The committee is authorized to make decisions on combating terrorism and financing of WMDs, and it will coordinate efforts among relevant authorities in Kuwait.
Decisions will be made by majority vote, and in case of a tie, the Chair's side prevails. The committee will publish listings of individuals or entities involved in financing or supporting terrorism and WMD programs, including those linked to al-Qaeda and North Korea's nuclear activities, as well as violations related to Iran's nuclear commitments under the JCPOA.
