Kuwait National Guard Celebrates 59 Years of Service and Strategic Development
The Kuwait National Guard (KNG) marks its 59th anniversary on June 7, highlighting its role in national security since its establishment in 1967. KNG continues to enhance its operational capabilities through advanced training, strategic planning, and partnerships with state institutions.

Established on June 7, 1967, under Decree-Law No. 2, the Kuwait National Guard operates as an independent body within the national defense framework. Noteworthy developments include the adoption of strategic plans aimed at boosting operational readiness and inter-agency cooperation, culminating in the strategic plan (2030 - Protecting the Homeland).
The KNG also established specialized units for emergency response and enhanced its capabilities with rotary-wing aviation and integrated security systems. Its leadership emphasizes training and modern infrastructure, including advanced shooting ranges and medical centers, aligned with international standards.
The KNG plays a vital role in securing major events and supporting national defense objectives alongside the Armed Forces and public security agencies. The ongoing emphasis on development positions the KNG as a crucial element of Kuwait's national security strategy.
