Kuwait's Tender Issued for LNG Reliquefaction Unit at Al-Zour Refinery
Kuwait's Central Agency for Public Tenders has initiated a tender for an LNG reliquefaction unit at Al-Zour refinery, enhancing LNG import efficiency. This project involves comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, targeting improved operational reliability.

The construction tender for an LNG reliquefaction unit at Al-Zour refinery, owned by Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), is now open. The project will include pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing services to facilitate the reliquefaction of boil-off gas (BOG).
Major international firms pre-qualified for the tender include Fluor, GS Engineering & Construction, and Technip Italia among others. This development is significant for improving the country’s LNG import capabilities, which may strengthen energy security and operational efficiency in Kuwait's energy sector.
