Kwangwoon University’s Pangyo Campus to Evolve as AI and Robotics Hub
Kwangwoon University's Pangyo Campus, launched by the Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation, has emerged as a central hub for AI and robotics in Korea. It successfully hosted the ROSConKR 2026 conference and established a consultative body for intelligent robotics talent development, connecting local governments and industries. The campus aims to expand its educational outreach across Seoul and Gyeonggi through its Seamless KW strategy, fostering a sustainable AI education platform for youth.
Kwangwoon University's Pangyo Campus, established by the Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation, has positioned itself as a major hub for AI and robotics in Korea within just a year of its opening. It hosted ROSConKR 2026, Korea's first robot operating system developer conference, and initiated a consultative body to foster intelligent robotics talent, connecting local governments and industries.
On the 21st, it organized the AI Robot Dream Up Camp for Kwangwoon Academy students, offering them hands-on experience with advanced ICT infrastructure. The university plans to implement its Seamless KW strategy to extend educational access throughout Seoul and Gyeonggi, creating a sustainable AI education platform for youth.
