Kyrgyzstan has launched its first regional helicopter repair center in the Ak-Chiy Free Economic Zone, focusing on Mi-171 and Mi-8 helicopters. This initiative, backed by a $5 million investment from Russia, aims to modernize the country’s aviation services and training capabilities.
The project is expected to attract further investment and generate job opportunities. Currently, 15 Kyrgyz pilots are training in Russia, set to join the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Defense, and other agencies upon their return. Future developments include a training complex featuring a Mi-171 simulator.
