Lao-Vietnamese Cooperation Achieves Significant Successes Under Leadership
Cooperation between the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam has seen significant achievements under the leadership of both Parties and States. Agreements for the 2021-2025 period are being implemented effectively, with strong momentum noted in late 2024 and throughout 2025.
The bilateral relationship has been elevated to a 'strategic partnership' reflecting deep political trust. Key areas of cooperation include national defense, economic investment, and cultural exchanges, with Vietnam as a leading investor in Laos.
Bilateral trade reached nearly three billion USD in 2025, aiming for five billion USD in the future. UNESCO recognized Hin Nam No National Park as a World Natural Heritage site, highlighting cultural collaboration.
